Internal Amputation- Slam Gang
Internal Amputation is a relatively new four piece Indonesian brutal death metal band. Their sound reminds me of a mix of a few of my favorites. I cannot seem to put a name to it, but it is definitely worth checking out. Technical and tight drumming and guitar riffs that are solidified by the backbone of the bass guitar. Simple but awesome vocals, reminiscent of Vulvectomy. Also some slams that get pretty slow and pretty repetitive but manage to keep you interested. There are three songs on this demo, two of which begin with samples. The samples are not too long and they work well with the vibe of the demo. The guitar in particular is very creative and at times reminds me of totally different genres of music! “Defectus In Utero” has some crazy awesome guitar riffs, and then drops into a groovy slammy outro. This demo has an impressively professional sound. I cannot wait for more. For a band’s first release, this is pretty amazing.
